Kids kept showing up at our house.

What a great time of life, when any excuse pops up, you grab it as a chance to giggle, be silly, try new things, be brave, freeze, fail, and have fun with new friends.

Since we just cleaned out to move to Durham, and most of our NC neighbors don’t have many sleds, out came the makeshift toboggans, bags, boards, and the most successful—non-stick cookie trays. Then when the cold and wet got to be too much, we made a mess of cocoa for everyone.
