Check out the City Market downtown Raleigh event venue .

We did a YMCA of the Triangle event at the City Market in downtown Raleigh and it was a cool spot with indoor/outdoor options on the cobblestone street.

Plusses: Urban vibe, close to all things Raleigh. Very cool and memorable venue and everyone there was awesome to work with.

Minuses: parking is a bit of a walk and paid, larger groups might find the indoor space for mingling a bit tight.

New Idea for Event Seating!

It’s rare for me to see a different layout for event seating… but I thought this really worked. Instead of doing 100% round dinner tables, the client split off quite a few single seats on either side of the room. This worked because the event was grazing, and also because staff that were involved in the program knew to take the seats, but it freed up a ton of room and could work for many types of events.

The area looks lovely with lights coming out of the Market windows, and as you are walking away, you can see some of Raleigh’s skyline buildings lit up.
